About the Journal
Translational Insights in Clinical Medicine (TICM) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research bridging basic biomedical science and clinical application. Founded in 2026 and published by Synapse Publishing, TICM serves as a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals committed to advancing evidence-based medicine through innovative translational approaches.
The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to: translational neuroscience and neurological disorders; clinical trials and experimental therapeutics; biomarkers and precision medicine; digital health and computational medicine; evidence synthesis and research methodology; translational oncology; cardiovascular and metabolic translational medicine; infectious diseases and immunology; rare diseases; and implementation science.
Open Access Policy
TICM is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are immediately and permanently available online free of charge. There are no subscription fees, access barriers, or embargo periods. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows sharing and adaptation with appropriate credit. Authors retain copyright of their work.
Peer Review
TICM employs a rigorous single-blind peer review process. All submissions undergo editorial triage, plagiarism screening, and evaluation by at least two independent expert reviewers. Authors may request double-blind review at the time of submission. The journal targets a first decision within 4–6 weeks.
Publication Ethics
TICM adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Council of Science Editors (CSE). The journal has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of research misconduct.

Authors retain copyright of their published work. All articles are distributed under the CC BY 4.0 license unless an alternative Creative Commons license is agreed upon at the time of acceptance.
Archiving and Preservation
TICM participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) using LOCKSS technology for long-term digital preservation. All articles are assigned DOIs through Crossref.
